Breast Cancer Awareness Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea For Breast Cancer Awareness Week

On Tuesday 22nd of October,  the residents and staff of Templeton House Care Home joined in with celebrating “wear It pink day” as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and managed to raise £93.00. Our team are always keen to support charities and ‘wear it a pink day is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to be involved in such fun activities by wearing and eating something pink!

The residents and team gathered together and donned their pink finery by celebrating with an Afternoon Tea in Templeton Bar for an important cause. Thanks to our talented in house chefs at Templeton House Care Home as they pulled out all of the stops by assuring the day was a success. The residents were treated to some enjoyable sweet treats as well as a glass of pink fizz.

With everyone dressed up, the staff at Templeton House Care Home took the opportunity to host pink-themed activities and pink decorative arts and crafts. Mealtime did not escape the pink treatment, with pink cupcakes, pink fizz, and serviettes.

At Templeton Care Home we regularly encourage our residents to participate in our arts and crafts and activities programme, it is an opportunity for our residents to communicate and create relationships with one another.

Our dedicated team members have seen the first-hand benefits that our activities programme has on our residents’ lives, which is why when we can we encourage our residents to try something new or to maintain current hobbies that take their interest.
If you would like to find out more regarding the care options we provide or would like to learn more about our activities programme, then please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to help.
