Celebrating Chinese New Year
On Tuesday 1st of February, the residents and staff at Templeton House Care home were keen to celebrate Chinese New Year with one another. Chinese New Year is a festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar and solar Chinese Calendar.
The wonderful residents have been busy getting ready for Chinese New Year decorating the care home with Chinese handcrafted decorations and preparing the menu ready for a delicious Chinese meal.
Chinese New Year is a wonderful time of the year for our residents to gather together enjoy good food and learn about the Chinese culture. At Templeton House Care Home we actively encourage our residents to participate in our many arts and crafts activities as well as enjoy a pleasant dining experience with each other.
Our activities are the perfect way to increase social interaction within the care home providing our residents with a fulfilled and happy lifestyle. We have seen the first-hand benefits within our home how our residents being creative has a plethora of mental and physical benefits, whatever residents end up creating, they will most certainly have fun whilst doing it.
Our activities coordinators at Templeton House Care Home go above and beyond ensuring our residents achieve the most out of each and every day. Whether they are making use of the fantastic facilities at Templeton House such as taking the time to reminisce and watching their favourite film in our Cinema, getting pampered in our Hair Salon & Revive Spa, or participating in our Full Activities Programme, we can be sure that our residents will never be lost of things to do.
