Day Trip to Largs
The well-being team at Templeton House arranged a day trip to Largs, with five of the residents from our Arran Unit.
The day trip included a delicious lunch from a fish & chips shop, sitting by Largs promenade.
We then walked through Largs town, including visiting the local shops, chatting with local people, doing some sight-seeing from the Caledonian ferry and a visit to a historical sweet shop and Viking statue.
The day ended with a trip to Nardini's ice cream parlour, where residents can pick out their favourite flavour and enjoy an ice cream in the lovely weather.
Every week the residents in the Arran unit get to enjoy a trip out on the bus, so this week the well-being team at Templeton House wanted to arrange a trip out to South Ayrshire to enjoy a different area with the residents.
The residents and team very much enjoyed their visit to Largs. It was a wonderful experience for both residents and staff to sit together and bond over lunch and the exploration of the town. Visiting Largs also promoted positive memories for our residents as some recalled visiting the town in their childhoods.
We look forward to our next day trip exploring areas in South Ayrshire.
