Glad to Care Week at Templeton House

Glad to Care Messages Placed on a Wall

Our care home in Ayrshire was delighted to take part in Glad to Care Awareness Week last week, a celebration designed to recognise those in care and show appreciation for their hard work and dedication to caring and supporting others.

At Templeton House, we arranged for a whole week of themed celebrations and activities for our staff, which our residents were also happy to be a part of.

Motivational Monday

Vivienne, our armchair yoga teacher, joined us on Monday to kick-start our Glad to Care celebrations.

Our armchair yoga is always so well received and it was great to start the week with a little bit of light activity and relaxing yoga to get everyone feeling motivated and ready for a week of celebrations.

Tasty Tuesday

To celebrate 'Tasty Tuesday' we held a team bake-off and our staff brought in a whole array of baked treats for the team and residents to enjoy.

It was down to the residents to taste the delightful treats which they absolutely loved, and they all voted on who they thought baked the best treat.

Wellbeing Wednesday

To support the wellbeing of our team members, we opened up our in-house salon so that the team could get their hair and nails done, or to just spend a little bit of time relaxing and being pampered.

Thankful Thursday

As a treat for all of our staff and to show them how thankful we are for all that they do for Templeton House, we ordered pizzas for the staff to enjoy. It was safe to say that the pizzas brightened up their Thursday!

Feel Good Friday

On our 'Feel Good Friday' we invited our staff to dress down and we threw them a party so that they could let their hair down and enjoy some quality time with our residents.

We are so proud of the team here at Templeton House in Ayr, as well as the homely atmosphere we have created and the friendships that our residents have formed. We will always be grateful to have one another here at Templeton House.
