Templeton House Residents Get Ready for Santa!
At Templeton House Care Home, the festive season is in full swing. Our residents and team members have been fully embracing the Christmas spirit, donning their snazziest Christmas jumpers, tinsel, and festive headbands. The home was filled with smiles as everyone got their photos taken, posing proudly in front of our beautifully decorated Christmas tree and charming North Pole backdrop modeling for the 2025 calendar.
This month we've also enjoyed some other lovely Christmas activities including a church service and carol singing, and a film afternoon where we sipped on hot chocolate and a shortbread biscuit or two, and settled down to watch Nativity!
Another highlight this month was our fantastic Christmas Market, which brought our community together for a special afternoon. The stalls were bustling with activity, offering festive treats, handmade crafts, and unique Christmas gifts, creating a magical atmosphere for all who attended. We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along to support us — your presence made the day truly wonderful.
Most importantly, the event wasn’t just about having fun; it was about making a difference. With the incredible support of our visitors, residents, and staff, we raised an amazing £500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This charity does extraordinary work granting life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses, giving them moments of joy, hope, and magical experiences to brighten their lives. Whether it’s meeting their favourite celebrity, having a dream holiday, or enjoying an unforgettable day out, Make-A-Wish works tirelessly to create memories that these children and their families will treasure forever.
But the generosity didn’t stop there. Between our bake-off competition, bonus ball game, and the Make-A-Wish collection bucket, we’ve raised a grand total of £710 so far. These funds will help Make-A-Wish continue their incredible work, and we couldn’t be prouder to support such a meaningful cause.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our wonderful team here at Templeton House. A massive thank you to all of our staff for pulling together to make the day so special for our residents and visitors. Your efforts, enthusiasm, and love for what you do truly shone through, and we are so grateful for everything you do to make Templeton House feel like home.
The day was filled with laughter, festive cheer, and a deep sense of community spirit — the perfect way to celebrate the season. From everyone here at Templeton House Care Home, we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
